This was my first time going here, and I had an amazing experience. My appointment was scheduled for 12:00, however I showed up early and it was no problem. My hair dresser was Rebecca. I briefly explained what I wanted and she did a wonderful job. I definitely recommend this salon.
Bleh haircut. I have fine hair and don't get coloring. Very boring, plain cut that wasn't what I asked for. Overpriced for a simple cut as well ($47) I would have had a better experience at Great clips for 10% the price. Still looking for a decent salon in Pooler area.
I'm honestly torn as to how to rate my experience!! Kim is super sweet and could see the vision I had! After agreeing on color a manager or owner came over and basically forced a different color on us, which is completely unprofessional, since I AM THE PAYING CUSTOMER. When that color was done it was totally RED, not what I was expecting. Kim was awesome and fixed it, but if we weren't forced to change the color it would have come out perfectly!! Now I'm stuck with something darker than I expected and it's still RED! The lighting is also terrible at your salon bc my hair looked a pretty dark brown now in my bathroom it's RED.
I went there this morning and had picture in hand of what I wanted. She barely looked at the picture. My hair looks nothing like I wanted. I was too embarrassed to say much about it but I hate it. I can’t remember the name of the girl who did it but it looked like only two people cut hair there and it was the younger of the two. I didn’t realize it at first but her hands shook really bad the entire time. Luckily it’s just hair and will grow back but it’s frustrating to spend money on something and have your hair ruined for a good year until it grows out.
The staff is very nice and so is the salon itself. However, I got my hair done here and it has not looked good since. I called about it and went back to get it fixed. I cant speak for color or cutting services however I raved a keratin I got here a long time ago and even checked with the owner to see if the brand was still offered. She said no but that same brand made a newer one and she also had another that was comparable. I stressed how much I like J Beverly hills and that's not the one that was used on my hair. My hair looked extremely greasy after I washed it and used the aftercare shampoo that was given to me for it. The bottom 6 inches of my hair looked dry and frizzy too, and this treatment is suppose to do zero damage. I called and she offered to fix my hair with a gentle cleaning shampoo since it looked like my hair had buildup. She told me she has never had anyone else complain about this leaving a residue or having a smell. Ironically when I showed up to get it fixed, a woman who has had every keratin offered there was there and she told me this was her least favorite keratin and that its heavy and the smell takes months to wear off. I hate to write a bad review, but I feel like I was cheated and I wasn't listened to. This treatment was very expensive and it jut wasn't worth the time or moeny for me personally. I'd rather have my old hair back. If you get a keratin here, they are very thorough and I strongly recommend you only allow the J beverly hills to be used. Its a great keratin and they dont rush through it. I am only upset that the woman who did my hair didn't use the brand I asked for despite me making numerous comments about how much I loved it. She should've turned me away until she had it in stock, and because she didn't, I feel like I was just a dollar sign. I would strongly recommend a keratin by J Beverly hills to anyone and even recommend they do it here. I have no hate intended at all and I know had the other keratin been used I wouldn't be writing this and it wouldve been 5 stars without a doubt.
