Be wary of paying for classes in advance - if you ask for a refund when they get cancelled or changed the owner snaps!
The cost is very low in comparison to others which makes it even better especially for the amount of skills one learns. I would highly recommend this place for all those reasons and more.
Rachael is amazing! My now-husband and I went to her for help with our First Dance song for our wedding. We already had the song picked out, so after listening to it she came up with the choreography for us. We came to her with only 2 weeks until our wedding, so we were a little nervous. Our first lesson was all about the basics of dance. The next three lessons she taught us the moves, breaking them into two parts to help us, and then we just kept practicing it over and over again until we felt like we got it. It was so much fun! I never thought we would be able to dance like that. Rachael was amazing! So patient with us and the dance was perfect! At the end of our last lesson she had several people from one of her regular classes come be our audience and we did one final run through of the dance. Now that our wedding is over I still want to go back and join one of her regular classes because it was so much fun. Highly, highly recommend Rachael!
I have been taking ballroom group classes at Salon de Baile for a few months now. I am learning a lot more than in other ballroom group classes; the structure of classes enable all participants to be engaged in the process and Rachael is an excellent instructor as well as encouraging. She also makes the classes fun. I have a goal of moving up to the next level!
Pure enjoyment. If you are interested in learning a little ballroom dancing or just want to exercise and mingle, then Salon de Baile is the place to be. This place is highly organized and the instructor/owner is professional and thorough. My husband and I have learned more there in the last 4 months in just group classes alone then in any other ballroom studio we visited for the same amount of time or longer. The classes are very structured which helps tremendously. At the end of the class, the instructor let's everyone film the session so that you can take it home to review and practice. How awesome is that?
