Two men and a truck's crew did a great job with the amount of rushing and disorganization they had to deal with from me. This was a spontaneous move and sensitive situation. They were supportive and careful during the process overall. One large vase (about 4 feet tall) was shattered and one picture frame broken. I was promised reimbursement from a representative who would come out to assess damages, though, and since I didn't give them time to take secure wrapping precautions, I was fine with that. I filled out the damage report at the directive of a crew member.
Hard working men. But I don't like the smoking around my belongings. Fair price.
Do not. I repeat do not use Two Men and a Truck in Pooler, Ga. The movers failed to cover a LazyBoy recliner and when ratcheting the load straps completely destroyed the wood finish. To worsen the matter I took out an insurance policy to cover what was presented as an "in case of excess of negligence damages" policy for $75.00. After the General Manager Rick Jorgensen inspected the damage he claimed the he has a friend that would charge less than $300 to repair the furniture or if we chose , he himself is "pretty handy"himself with touching up wood blemishes. This of-course after stating that the insurance will not cover the damage , nor would TMAAT pay for any repair even after I asked him to consider that I shouldn't be held responsible for his workers negligence. Rick will not return calls nor answer emails, but luckily I got someones attention who will follow up with his actions.
I believe my problem lies with the corporate or local management level. My move took place on a Monday and by Saturday the same week, after having called the Pooler, GA office each day and left a voicemail, I still haven't heard back. Important note: I HAVE CALLED DURING REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS EVERY TIME. I realized after getting my items put away that I am missing an antique lamp base, which was a dear item to me. I think it's very interesting that when I called Monday to line up an impromptu move, the office answered right away and was eager to get the move set up for me. On Tuesday-Saturday, however, my calls have always gone to voicemail. Do they have recent customers on an ignore list or something?! No rep has contacted me about my broken vase as promised, and no one will return my call about my missing lamp base. I'm positive it was left on their truck. Perhaps by mistake, but I just want it back or if it was broken, I just want reimbursement. Perhaps the crew was apprehensive about informing me of another broken item? I really don't know. I would recommend them if their local office wasn't horrible about communicating with recent customers! Like I said, the broken vase was in part due to my own lack of preparation for this move. I don't fault the crew for an accident! Please return my calls, or my next step on Monday is to call the Better Business Bureau.
Did an excellent job moving us out of our old house in September. Took extra care in everything they did, but worked diligently and kept us right within our budget. Couldn’t be happier with the service we received during what would have been a stressful move.
Had a wonderful experience the movers were very professional and took extremely good care of my property. They even helped with a spider issue we had. They showed great attention to detail. Awesome group!!
