I went in looking for a used vehicle but my sales man worked out a great deal and I left with a brand new SUV. My salesman was very pleasant and friendly as well as professional. I was extremely happy with my over all experience and will consider Coastal for my next purchase. The only con is the service is not quite as good as you might expect. I did a scheduled maintenance several days in advance, apparently no one in the service department thought ahead enough to make sure they had the oil filter for my vehicle in stock. As a result I had an extended wait time because they had to run to another dealer across town to get the oil filter, there was no apologies or anything.
Brought my extremely well cared for Cadillac Escalade in for brakes and an exhaust manifold gasket leak. Technician broke the bolts off in head. This generated removal of the left cylinder head and tapping out the broken bolts. Told work was complete. Got vehicle, its rattling and making noise on left side of engine. Upon visual inspection, there are wires disconnected, brackets dangling, and bolts missing. Took vehicle back last Thursday. Service manager took vehicle in. Called me back at End of day saying everything is done. Drove vehicle home. Still rattling. Sounds like exhaust manifold is loose, or something in cylinder head is messed up. I paid a lot of money and am not satisfied. You got half a star because the brakes work great. Feel free to call me, Maybe you can recommend a shop that can fix my truck. Signed
*The same Jeep that "wasn't available" is listed on the website for purchase but marked up in price!
*I researched the dealership, read reviews and everything else before going in; I hope I didn't miss anything and will later regret it.
Would give 0 stars if I could wanted to give me $6,000 less for a trade in value then what my car is worth! Did not negotiate I wonder how you stay open. I will never give you my business and will make sure to let everyone know just how displeased I was. You aren’t in the business for making new customers that is for sure. Ripping people off you are sure good at though.
My visit had both pros and cons; pros: I was greeted immediately, felt welcomed, they are willing to work with you despite credit problems and everyone is friendly. Cons: I had to answer questions I already gave the answers to before I went in; that wasted a lot of time, that was the reason to answer questions beforehand to save time. I was told the vehicle I originally wanted was not *available, so was shown one I originally did not come in for; by the way: before going there I was told it was available for sale! I was told all vehicles were inspected before being put up for sale and there were no issues; so why was I told at the LAST MINUTE , I wouldn't be able to drive the vehicle I put a down payment on home ??!! Yet was told, they would have to check it because it had an open recall; well my dear that should have been handled before putting the car on the lot!! If I would have known that I wouldn't have put a down payment on it but looked at something else! I was given a loaner, which was on empty (fuel light on) so had to put gas ($30) in it; the loaner is nice but I didn't go there to leave with a loaner and have to wait days before I get what I put money down for. Yes I appreciate them working with me especially since I wasn't willing to spend much on a car but all things should be handled beforehand. I will try to wait patiently and hope everything works out because I would hate to feel I made a *mistake going there.
They stand behind their work. I took my car in for a routine oil change and left with a problem, which I felt they helped create. When I contacted them back about it 2 days later, they had me tow it in to get inspected. The next morning it was fixed and ready to go, at no cost. Everyone was polite, professional, and very fast. I was driving again quicker than I expected, and without any finger pointing. They found the issue, fixed it, and we all moved on. This was my 3rd visit, I'll be back for my fourth when I need my factory maintenance done. My rep was Damien, who's been polite and professional with a good attitude all 3 of my visits.
