I was nervous because I'm a control freak and it was hard to give up control but she put me at ease, in less than an hour we were done!!! We are VERY HAPPY with our return and I may just give up control again next year!...I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THEM!!!
If I could give them zero stars, I would. This is hands down the worst, most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with. They were recommended by a friend so I thought they could be trusted and I couldn't have been more wrong. After dropping off my paperwork and filling out their forms, they told me they would call me in a couple days. I didn't hear back for a few weeks. I called to check on it and they said they would call me back. Never heard anything for another week or so. Called again and find out they completely lost all my paperwork. Everything I had!! Which was a lot! They couldn't locate it for months and being a student I needed my return for my student loans. I was on a deadline and I told them that. They repeatedly said they would be in contact and NEVER were. They never once called me. I had to keep calling over and over and every time I called they acted like they didn't know who I was. Finally, I had the friend who recommended them call and they said they found my paperwork and my return had been done but they STILL never called me. I finally went into the office to pick up my paperwork and once again, they acted like they didn't know me. The person who prepared my return wasn't there and the girl at the front said she would call me tomorrow to explain what was going on since none of it made sense. I STILL have never heard from them. It took 3 months to get my paperwork back and I have to take my forms to someone else to do them now. The office is filthy and disorganized and crawling with children. It looks more like a daycare than a tax office. Also, I missed my cutoff for my student loans because of them. Please please please, do not, for your own safety, use this business. You WILL regret it. Honestly, I will probably be reporting them to the BBB because no one should have to deal with this. They should not have a business license.
My taxes are pretty simple but I like having them done professionally for peace of mind. I was told I was getting a sizeable refund when filing but ended up getting several hundred dollars less when the refund was deposited into my account. This was in March. All I wanted was for them to look over my taxes and see if there was an error. I have called and called and called and never get an answer. The few times I do get someone to pick up the phone, I'm told she is with a customer, on the phone or some other lame duck excuse and never get a call back. They even told me one time she was on the phone with the IRS trying to figure out what happened. That was over two weeks ago. Today, my dad stopped by to pick up my paperwork because we are done with them. At first they told him they didn't have my taxes or paperwork and it wasn't until he told them it was physically handed to them that it "magically" appeared. For my parents, they were given a great refund until a call from the IRS two days ago informed them otherwise. Now they owe almost exactly what they got back and her response was "oh well."
In short, this place is absolutely horrible. They always say they will call you back but never do, they constantly lose paperwork and can't do taxes correctly to save their life. For your own sake, avoid this place and go somewhere else to a place that knows what they are doing.
For over twenty years, we have trusted Nadel. She's become like trusted family, as we watched each other's families grow up over the years. As an expert on taxes and finance, now as I approach retirement, her generous advice is as golden as ever--helping us map out the future. She has the highest ethics, smarts and a lot of common sense--not a common combination in an individual in such a business. When a curve ball occasionally hits--like this year, when my UGA college son claimed himself when he self filed the 1040 'EZ', leaving me out of tuition reimbursement--out of a large deduction as my dependent, she called me and while informing me, put my mind at ease. I offered to pay, as extra paper work and suddenly, extra months were involved. She wouldn't hear of it. Yes--you'll see family--including occasionally kids, walking, talking,--but that's her--inseparable, generous, a giving, loving person--she pays it forward. Her daughter Andrea does a great job preparing taxes too--honestly at first I was worried, but she's proved herself too. You'll meet people from all nations, races and walks of life in her office--blue collar, restaurant workers, business owners, various professionals- etc., it's just a good place to be, to relax over a free gourmet cup of coffee or cool drink, as you wait for her truly 'personal' attention. There's always going to be a naysayer or two here and there--after all--come'on--we're talking about money and taxes here, but all the people I know who've trusted her, especially those who've switched to her after using the 'chains' or on-line, think very highly of her.
It takes alot for me to post a review on Google. My experience, and my families, was so bad that I have to give this establishment one star. The staff is unprofessional, disorganized and lacks any motivation to do what they are paid for.
They know what they’re doing and get you every dime back that they can. I have been using them for over 10 years. Worth every penny to get the peace of mind in having your taxes done properly , accounting services.
EDIT: These people are absolute criminals. Do NOT use them. After I posted this review they went and filed my taxes completely unauthorized and without my signature. On top of that, they were done completely wrong. They made sure that I owed as much as possible as payback for this review. I took my paperwork to another tax office where it was done correctly and I owe two thousand less than what they have me owing the IRS. Never once did they ever have any contact with me and just filed it without my permission. They need to be shut down asap and the IRS will know about their business and probably be auditing everything they've turned in.
I normally do my own taxes but my husband transfered his job last March here from Illinois, I sold a house, he bought a house, we got married, his job is located in SC but works in GA...too many things to possibly go wrong in doing them myself. ..Andrea was AMAZING!!!!!☆☆☆☆☆
